Social enterprise VR therapies
Founder, Rebecca Gill was a learning disability nurse, frustrated by how hard traditional therapies such as physiotherapy and hydrotherapy were getting to access for patients.
This motivated Rebecca to start-up the first social enterprise to provide VR therapies for kids with special needs and adults with disabilities. The goal of the business is to bring VR therapies to those who would benefit most but are least likely to access it.
Supportive environment
Northampton’s supportive environment has played a key role in the VR Therapies story. Rebecca attended a Start-Up Day run by the Business and IP Centre and it then that she started to believe in what she could achieve.
A wide range of business support
Rebecca subsequently progressed onto the NatWest Entrepreneur Accelerator programme, worked with the Gaming Students at University of Northampton and has been supported by the Digital Northants network who have helped with a range of business support.
